The works council at Ford in Germany has called on the management to reconsider planned cuts, fearing for the business of the US carmaker in Europe. The relocation of central development activities to the US would threaten the whole of Ford’s passenger car segment in Europe, the head of the works council at Ford’s plants, Benjamin Gruschka, said in Cologne on Saturday.
