A total of 2,251 civil lawsuits have been filed in the southern German city of Munich in connection with the spectacular collapse of payments provider Wirecard in the summer of 2020. More than half of these – a total of 1,178 proceedings – are claims for damages against the auditing firm EY, Munich court president Beatrix Schobel and her fellow judges said on Friday.
