An Indiana woman catfished a 96-year-old widower out of approximately $80,000, according to the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Rhode Island. The attorney’s office announced the indictment of Brittany Rakia Shawnai Lasley, 32, of Anderson, Indiana on Jan. 25. She is charged with five counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
