Police have arrested a man who stabbed several people on a moving regional train in northern Germany on Wednesday, leaving two people dead. A man between the ages of 20 and 30 was arrested at the next train station, said a police spokesperson, who added that the motive was “still unclear.” Sources in law enforcement circles told dpa the suspect had not previously attracted attention for extremist behaviour and that he may be suffering from mental illness.
