American ski queen Mikaela Shiffrin claimed a women’s record 83rd World Cup career win in alpine skiing with first place in a giant slalom in Kronplatz, Italy on Tuesday. Shiffrin broke a tie with compatriot Lindsey Vonn which lasted a mere two weeks and is now only three victories away from the all-time best of 86 achieved by former Swedish men’s skiing great Ingemar Stenmark.
