President Joe Biden is heading to New York City next week to tout the long-awaited Gateway Tunnel connecting Manhattan and New Jersey, which is being partly paid for with federal funds from the $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law, the White House announced. The $16 billion project would build two new train runnels under the Hudson River and repair the existing 112-year-old tunnels that were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
