Twice Olympic champion Tiril Eckhoff of Norway will miss the biathlon world championships in Germany’s Oberhof next month. The 32-year-old was not on the list of Norwegian biathletes nominated on Monday for the February 8-19 event. Eckhoff has not competed since the after-effects of a coronavirus infection last year. Triple Beijing Olympic champion Marte Olsbu Röiseland is included having also struggled after Covid-19 while top male Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bö, who has won nine of 12 World Cup races so far this season, is the big favourite for golds.
