Palestinian archaeologists have discovered more than 60 graves from the Roman era during excavations in the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism announced on Tuesday. A total of 63 graves have been discovered so far. Finds of bones have been dated to the second century AD. The excavation site had already been uncovered in January, during preparations for a housing project. The coastal strip is controlled by militant Palestinian organization Hamas. Around 2 million people live there in very poor conditions.
