It takes a village. Just ask Rebecca Votto, owner of Chirp Workshop in Flemington. The day after Christmas, Votto learned that pipes burst in the Fulper Road building she leased and her business, Chirp Workshop, was significantly damaged. Votto explained that at 6 p.m. on Dec. 26 a friend who owns the salon next to her business noticed water rushing from the building. Votto, a North Brunswick resident, made her way to Chirp Workshop as quickly as possible. She said she was “shocked” when she arrived and saw the damage. “I cried,” she said, “I worked so hard and all of the sudden it’s all gone….
