New Jersey health officials on Tuesday reported another 1,469 COVID-19 cases and 17 confirmed deaths. The state’s seven-day average for confirmed positive tests is 2,128, down 1% from a week ago, but up 16% from a month ago. While positive tests have been rising this winter, New Jersey has not seen a repeat of the surge in cases that followed the holidays last year.
