Scuffles have erupted as police enter the western German mining village of Lützerath to clear the site of climate activists. “You can leave the area here now without any further repercussions,” said a loudspeaker announcement, as police began an operation to clear the site on Wednesday. “You are prohibited from staying and entering the area in and around Lützerath” according to a court order, police said.
