Mikaela Shiffrin has the class not only to break the alpine skiing winning records but also to become the first to win 100 World Cup races, according to former greats Lindsey Vonn and Maria Höfl-Riesch. Shiffrin, 27, tied the women’s record of 82 victories from fellow American Vonn on Sunday in an giant slalom in Slovenia and narrowly missed gaining sole possession of it on Tuesday when she came second behind Slovak Petra Vlhova in a slalom in Austria.
