American ski queen Mikaela Shiffrin equalled the women’s record 82 World Cup wins in alpine skiing from compatriot Lindsey Vonn when she topped a giant slalom in Slovenia on Sunday. Shiffrin, 27, rebounded from sixth in a first giant slalom in Kranjska Gora the previous day to win .77 of a second from Italy’s Federica Brignone and .97 clear of the discipline’s reigning world champion Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland.
