Officers cordoned off the walkway between Station Approach and Torrington Road at about 12.30am. On Friday, detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of rape. This followed a media appeal that included a CCTV image of a man who was seen in Torrington Road around the same time.
