A 24-year-old man from the German city of Rostock has been charged with causing the death of a Hertha Berlin fan outside a football match last May. A spokesperson for the Berlin public prosecutor’s office said the suspect had been charged with assault resulting in death. The trial is scheduled to begin on February 24 in the German capital. The man allegedly hit the Hertha supporter so hard in the face with his fist after the relegation play-off against SV Hamburg that he fell to the ground and hit the back of his head on the asphalt.
