House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) named representatives to two new select subcommittees that will investigate the government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The representatives assigned to the subcommittees on “Weaponization of the Federal Government” include far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia), who is known for spreading Covid misinformation, and Rep. Brad Wenstrup(R-Ohio), who serves as co-chair on the Republican Doctors Caucus.
