Truck and bus manufacturer Volvo posted a slight decline in profits despite delivering 15% more trucks last year than in 2021, the automaker reported from its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden on Thursday. The company delivered 232,558 trucks and saw overall sales jump by an annual 27% to 473.5 billion kronor ($46.2 billion) in 2022. The adjusted operating profit increased by 23% per cent to 50.5 billion kronor. But due to higher costs and taxes and negative special effects, Volvo’s surplus was just under 33 billion kronor, almost 1% less than in 2021.
