The delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics cost 20% more than originally stated, according to Japan’s audit board, Kyodo news agency has reported. The report said audit body put Games costs at 1.7 trillion yen ($12.9 billion dollars). The organizing committee had given a figure of 1.42 trillion yen in their report earlier in the year but the audit board added 280 billion yen they deemed were Games-related costs.
